Matt Asay has a continuation of his original blog entry written in response to Steven O'Grady's post OSCON 2006 wrap-up post (I know a bit of a tangled web). Nonetheless, this post by Matt includes some interesting commentary from Marten Mickos, CEO of MySQL. Matt drives his point home with some solid facts as well as assistance from Mr. Mickos about why there really isn't a billion dollar glass ceiling for the open source software industry.
